You want to get nuts? Lets get nuts! It’s the first week of the year and ESPN is already firing out takes. A producer got in Dan Orlovsky’s ear and said it’s the start of NFL football season and people have an insatiable desire for content today. Don’t be afraid to go nuts, give the people what they want. And he did:

Could this city handle a two-decade run with six Super Bowls? Hell yea. Could the country handle a cocky Eagles fanbase going on that monumental run? Absolutely not.

For fairness’ sake, Orlovsky is drawing parallels to the serious and competitive nature of Belichick and Brady. He’s not saying the future will be filled with Super Bowl trophies, accolades, and a 24-year-old girlfriend in the twilight of Nick’s years. If that’s the case, then this isn’t as crazy as the headline sounds. Sirianni feels like he’s been a little more serious than usual this summer and Hurts hasn’t even slid his ring over his finger. If they want to keep that demeanor I have no problem with it. A wise man once said if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Do I believe Sirianni didn’t know it was banner night? Absolutely not. This is a guy who grew up in a football household and has watched enough football to know the opening night the Super Bowl Champ always unveils the banner. But it works. It’s coach speak. Tough. Detailed. Together. Lock them in:

As long as he can get through to the guys that the Super Bowl is in the past and the Dallas Cowboys are on deck we’ll be fine. If they come out this season and start 3-1 and it looks like there is no Super Bowl hangover then Sirianni is a genius and he had the boys ready to play. They can enjoy the banner during the 20-year anniversary when they come back to celebrate. Most likely what ends up happening is there is an ugly divorce between the two because this is Philadelphia and we can’t have it any other way.
