Did not see this coming!

Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones had another scorcher of a performance last night, going 9 for 11 with 141 yards and a 118.8 passer rating.

In three preseason games he’s now 25/30 for 369 yards, two touchdowns, and zero picks, though he does have a pair of fumbles. His passer rating is 140.

So we’re close to writing the apology article, the “we were all wrong about Daniel Jones” story, and it seems like Pat Shurmur wants us to write it, judging by this quote he dropped yesterday:

“I think it’s time to start asking the people that didn’t like him what they think.”

Thing is, the Giants could possible have a QUARTERBACK CONTROVERSY on their hands, if they didn’t already.  Honestly, if you were a New York fan, would you want to see Danny Dimes or Eli Manning starting in week one? If you say Eli, I don’t trust you. I think Danny J is gonna be the starter at some point this year.

Here’s what he did last night:

Daniel Jones could very well be for real.

Time’s yours.
