Darren Sproles Is Done For The Season

And that should just about do it for Darren Sproles, who is done for the season with a hip flexor injury he suffered in practice.
Two years ago, I skewered Howie Roseman for the LeGarrette Blount signing because I felt it was a desperate reach for an over-the-hill running back. I was wrong.
But, Roseman clearly has a weakness when it comes to nostalgia and trying to extract every last drop of performance from aging stars. Jason Peters is the appetizer, but Darren Sproles’ continued existence on the team is the entree, soup du jour and both intermezzos before the sweet dessert, who may be DeSean Jaccson (tha pot). There was simply no reason to bring back Sproles this season. He’s contributed little and now appears to be done for good.
Enter Jay Ajayi.

I’m thinking this has more to do with Darren Sproles than Jordan Howard. Darren was not on injury report at all and then missed practice Thursday with quad issue. #Eagles
