DAWG LINE! GEORGIA NORTH! GO B̶I̶R̶D̶S̶ DAWGS!

Fuck it. Give me all SEC guys. In fact give me all Georgia guys! Especially if they test off the charts like this:

Haason Reddick and Nolan Smith are going to have races to the quarterback.

Howie Roseman take a fucking bow! How about getting the best overall player in the draft at nine and then another guy high on their board at #30. He just totally revamped the defensive line adding depth to defensive tackle and providing depth on the edges and at LB in only round one.

Here’s NFL.com’s draft profile on him:

Lower weight class edge defender with the toughness to mix it up with bigger players. Based purely upon his sleek but smallish frame, one might expect him to be more effective as a rusher than run defender but the opposite is true. Smith is hard to move off of his spot due to his technique and leverage, and he can be disruptive when firing into gaps. He can get off the mark as a rusher, but lacks the counters and contact balance to consistently assault the pocket at a high rate. Smith falls below the size standards some team might have for a 3-4 outside linebacker, but he plays team-first defense with quality technique that should help him translate to the pros.
Team first defense. I could see this guy being versatile in Sean Desai’s defense. Here’s Greg Cosell on Ross Tucker’s Podcast talking about the comparison to Reddick:

Combine that with the fact that he seems like an all around great guy and his teammates at Georgia absolutely loved him this fires me up:

The only thing I can hate about is Dude Perfect announcing it while cutting a YouTube ad. Hope Donna Kelce’s aura is strong enough shake the stink from Nolan Smith:
