DeSean Jackson only played 37 of the 68 available offensive snaps on Sunday, which is good for 54%.

That’s a low number, so obviously he was hurt, right?

No, according to DeSean:

Not sure I believe him.

Let’s check with his mom:

What, then, is the explanation for his lack of playing time? Minutes restriction? Punishment for misquoting Adolf Hitler? Was Doug just overthinking things, like he did with the Matt Pryor situation? Maybe we’ll get an explanation at some point.

For what it’s worth, DeSean had seven targets despite only playing that little amount of snaps. Jalen Reagor, who played 40 snaps, was only targeted four times. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside played 28 snaps and got a grand total of zero targets while John Hightower had -2 receiving yards on one catch, despite four targets.

So yeah, not great!

We knew tight end was the strength of this team, but if D Jax is healthy, put the man in the game. Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, Jalen Reagor, DeSean Jackson, and Miles Sanders. Five linemen and one quarterback. That’s 11 players. Let’s gooooooo.
