Deshaun Watson plans to waive his no-trade clause to the #Browns, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Yes, the Browns!!
Trade compensation still to be finalized with the #Texans, but Watson has made his choice: He expects to go to Cleveland.

Wowee!
We thought the Browns were out of the running. Baker Mayfield demanded a trade. It was reportedly down to Atlanta and New Orleans but Watson instead wants to go to “The Land,” as it says sometimes on the Cavalier jerseys.
Ian Rapoport says Cleveland kept pushing even after initially being told they were done-zo. That’s crazy. If they get this done, finally the Eagles talk stops, and Watson stays out of the NFC at the same time. Russell Wilson out, Deshaun Watson out, Jalen Hurts likely IN for another season, barring some crazy move from Howie Roseman.
Carry on.
EDIT – now we know why Cleveland was back in on this:
Browns are giving Deshaun Watson a new deal, per sources. The $184M over the first four years of this contract is a $48M raise over the $136M he was scheduled to make over the same four years on the previous contract – a $12M a-year raise in that span.
