NFC East news:

Big deal. Scherff was the Commies’ best lineman over the past couple of seasons and a five-time Pro Bowl player. He is very good, and would have fallen on the inevitable Carson Wentz fumble after Carson tried to dance around in the pocket and extend the play.

Doug Pederson continues to help the Birds here. He has signed a division rival’s Pro Bowl guard. It also suggests to me that the Jags might be going Aidan Hutchinson at #1 overall, and not Evan Neal, because in addition to this move they also slapped the franchise tag on tackle Cam Robinson. That would leave Neal available for Detroit or Houston if they wanted him.
