Eagles Adding Andy Dalton (the Red Rifle) to the Quarterback Factory
Let’s get it back to the Eagles:
Oh my God, what does it mean? Are the Eagles shipping off Tanner McKee to the New York Jets for a 1st rounder? Could Jalen Hurts not handle the pressure of Tanner Time breathing down his neck? We’ll find out soon enough.
If all goes well, Dalton won’t play a single snap this season. He did start a game for the Panthers in 2025, a 40-9 blowout loss against the Bills, when Bryce Young was banged up in Week 8. Dalton went 16 for 24 for 175 yards and an interception and was sacked seven times.
He’s turning 39 this year and had been with Carolina for the last three seasons. Before that, he had the year with New Orleans, a stop in Chicago, and a stop in Dallas. He was Cincy’s starter from 2011 to 2019.
Let’s welcome him to Philadelphia! Get the quarterback factory up and running.
