Eagles Adding Cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman

Of course Josina had it first, which makes me wanna barf everywhere:
CB Nickell Robey-Coleman just text me he is going to the #Eagles on a 1-year deal.

Seriously though, the Eagles PR staff needs to start leaking these stories, just to prevent Josina from getting the scoop. Pick anybody – Jimmy Kempski, Dave Zangaro, even Liam over there in England, and give them this information in order to shut down Josina.
Anyway, Robey-Coleman is the guy who committed the non-pass interference in the NFC Championship Game in New Orleans, which caused Saints fans to blow a gasket and resulted in the rule change that was never really enforced. He’s a 28-year-old slot corner and joins Will Parks and Darius Slay as new members of the Eagles’ defensive backfield.
Your secondary now looks something like this:
- free safety: Rodney McLeod
- strong safety: Jalen Mills
- corners: Darius Slay (CB1), Nickell Robey-Coleman (slot/CB2), Will Parks (plays a bunch of different spots), Avonte Maddox (slot/flex/dime safety), Rasul Douglas, Sidney Jones, Cre’Von LeBlanc
It’s a pretty flexible group with Parks and Maddox in there, so we’ll see how the specific roles shake out. Howie Roseman will probably trade Douglas or Jones.
