Let’s get it back to the Eagles:

Funky situation with Strong. He had the knee injury but put up big numbers at Nevada, got the huge guarantee and then barely played for the Eagles this summer. He played seven snaps in the preseason finale and completed one pass. but didn’t get much work prior to that game either. Reporters noted that practice reps were hard to come by as well, with the trio of Jalen Hurts, Gardner Minshew, and Reid Sinnett working with the 1s, 2s, and 3s, respectively.

Dave Zangaro just did a piece on Strong in which the QB said this about signing regrets:

“Absolutely not,” Strong said. “This is a great organization to be a part of, this is a great football team with great coaches and a great owner. It’s a top-run organization from the owner to the GM to the coaches. These guys know what they’re doing. This is a great roster and I’m very happy to have a chance to be on this team and be a part of it.”

Weird. My other thought here is they wanted to try to stash him on the practice squad as a rehab/project/red shirt thing and hid him from the rest of the league during the preseason. Who knows? Only Howie Roseman does. That’s the Alex Jones conspiracy theory. The other explanation is that he stinks.

EDIT –

a few more cuts:
