Not bad. Earlier in the year it looked like this would be a better pick, but you can’t argue with the end result here. Another great Howie Roseman move.
For some context, Garrett Wilson went 10th to the Jets in the 2022 draft. The Birds got DeVonta Smith 10th the year prior and the three dudes who went in 2020, 2019, and 2018 were Jedrick Wills, Devin Bush, and Josh Rosen. Patrick Mahomes was the 10th overall pick in 2016. There’s Pro Bowl talent across the board in this slot.
FYI, the reason the Panthers are ninth is because even though they beat New Orleans twice, the tiebreaker is strength of schedule. Funky, I know.
