Eagles, Flyers, Union, Sixers, Temple, and UFC: Six Weekend Bets that We’re Absolutely Going to Nail

Welcome back! We’re coming off a great weekend in which we hit one of our suggested bets for all five games/matches that were previewed. Eagles vs. Vikes went over, the Flyers beat the Wild in overtime, Iowa won a stinker against Penn State, RDR/Brendan Allen went beyond 3.5 rounds, and the Union/Charlotte SOG parlay cashed.

Since we’re on a roll, we are are back, we’re back for more, which is a great RATT song. Let’s get to it:

Eagles vs. Giants

Revenge game after a total dud on Thursday Night Football a few weeks ago.

The Birds’ passing attack totally cooked the Vikings in a bounce-back game, and Jalen Hurts finished with a perfect QB rating for the first time in his career. So we’ll focus on those props and avoid the line, which is at 7.5 points after opening at -7 for the Birds.

A.J. Brown has not practiced all week long, but whatever his availability ends up being, the Eagles are probably going to do quite a bit of chucking again. Let’s play the over 18.5 on Jalen’s passing completions at -135. It’s a number that’s hit three weeks in a row and in five of seven games. Hurts is averaging 28 pass attempts per game.

Union vs. Chicago

Game 1 of the 2025 playoffs for the Union. They’ll host a Chicago team they defeated 1-0 in Illinois and 4-0 at home this season.

The Fire are playing better soccer recently, but they were a play-in team for a reason. Hammer the Union at Subaru Park as a -118 moneyline favorite.

Flyers vs. Islanders

No odds yet for this game, but the Flyers are coming off a weak outing in Ottawa and the Isles have won four games in a row that have all gone to the over. We’ll play the over 5.5 or over 6 if we can get it at a decent price, anywhere between -110 and -140. Shift the odds by a half-goal if you need to.

Temple at Tulsa

Tulsa stinks. They’re 2-5 with wins against Abilene Christian and a dead-in-the-water Oklahoma State program that was just about to fire Mike Gundy. They’ve lost three in a row and are 0-4 in conference play while up giving up 73 points at home to Navy and Tulane.

Temple is a -210 road favorite and -5.5 on the spread at -110. The moneyline is preferable, but not at that price, so you can either push the spread to -6.5 and play the touchdown difference at -105, or bring it down to -2.5 at -190. Whatever number you’re comfortable with.

Sixers vs. Hornets

The books will adjust accordingly after V.J. Edgecombe smashed his overs in an electric Sixers debut on Wednesday night. Those totals aren’t out yet, but we’re definitely not getting him at over/under 10.5 points, probably ever again.

So we’re going to wait and see what the Brandon Miller, Tyrese Maxey, and Edgecombe three-point numbers look like. Miller chucked nine threes in a season-opening win against Brooklyn while Maxey and Edgecombe combined for 22 in Boston. Unless Joel Embiid looks infinitely better in game 2, we’ll focus on the backcourt production and look for value there.

UFC 321

Seems like people are sleeping on this card a bit because the two title fights aren’t moving the needle. Maybe they are more interested in PA online casino with a betParx casino promo code.

Ciryl Gane arguably lost to Alex Volkov the last time out, and now finds himself a +310 underdog against Tom Aspinall. Virna Jandiroba will rematch Mackenzie Dern for the women’s strawweight belt after Zhang Weili vacated to move up to 125 pounds.

The first Jandiroba/Dern fight went to a three-round decision back in 2020. Since then, Jandiroba is 6-1 with wins against the division’s top contenders, while Dern has gone 5-4 in the same time frame and looked less convincing against the better competition at 115.

People hate this fight, but I find it interesting because these are two of the best jiu-jitsu practitioners across all three women’s weight divisions. Virna is slightly better on the feet, though neither is a striker. I just don’t see Dern outstriking Jandiroba in a stand-up battle, nor do I see either getting subbed. When you look at the odds, there’s a lot of value on Jandiroba at +135, or just take the fight to go the distance at -135.
