On Rich Eisen’s show, Matt Corral revealed that he has a pre-draft visit with the Eagles coming up:

Corral is one of the top QB prospects in a draft class that doesn’t have a consensus slam dunk guy, though there are some intriguing names that might go in the back half of the first round or early in the second. Most projections that I’ve looked at have Corral listed in the QB3 to QB5 range, behind Kenny Pickett and Malik Willis.

He threw for 3,300 yards and 20 touchdowns last season with just five interceptions, that latter number coming way down from the 14 picks he tossed the year prior. Corral ran the ball more and more each season, finishing last year with 600 yards and 11 touchdowns. He can do a lot of RPO and option stuff as a ball carrier, but he’s also got passing chops with arm talent and an innate competitiveness. He’s not the biggest guy though and isn’t one of those 6’4″ gunslinger types. He’s closer to 6’1″ and ~200 pounds, so think Zach Wilson and Teddy Bridgewater and Gardner Minshew smushed together. A Baker Mayfield type. His film shows a lot of athletic scrambling and playmaking but one of the knocks is that he’s a bit of a risk taker, so he’ll have to show more command and pocket awareness at the NFL level.

You never know with the Eagles. They’re always sniffing around on QBs and doing their due diligence. The quarterbacks behind Pickett and Willis might fall into the second round or even further, so it’s one of the more interesting things to keep an eye on come draft night.
