Eagles Reportedly Called the Cowboys About Trading for Micah Parsons

Here’s a laugher to chew on before tonight’s game:
“…But the Cowboys had no interest in trading Parsons in the division, especially to the defending Super-Bowl champion Eagles, whom they open with tonight.”
Obviously the Cowboys weren’t going to trade him to the Eagles. And the report doesn’t mean much without the framework of an actual offer outlined. This could be Howie trolling Jerry and Stephen Jones, and nothing more, which is funny but doesn’t really come with any sort of meat on the bone.
Regardless, Parsons will be an Eagle at some point in the future. You know that he wants to be here. Green Bay is a good landing spot for him, but deep down he’s always wanted to play for the Philadelphia Eagles. Maybe it will happen as a midseason trade years from now, or a ring-chasing type of thing when he becomes a free agent. Maybe like a Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh type of thing. Less like a Robert Quinn move.
Either way, Parsons won’t be on the field tonight. Advantage: Eagles.
