3:54 – Non-cuts news but nonetheless important. Nick Foles is starting Thursday.
The #Eagles plan to start QB Nick Foles on Thursday in the season opener, sources say. Carson Wentz (ACL, LCL) has done fantastic in rehab. But this is a long-term decision for the face of the franchise.

3:44 – Mailata made it.
Per multiple sources, Jordan Mailata—the Eagles 7th round pick and 21 year old Australian rugby player who had never played football AT ANY LEVEL before July—has survived cut day and has made the opening day 53 man roster. Incredible. @gmfb @nflnetwork @RossTuckerNFL @BaldyNFL

1:05 – A surprise cut: De’Vante Bausby. He was taking some first team snaps as the nickel cornerback early in training camp. Probably shows how much the team values Avonte Maddox.
The #Eagles are releasing CB De’Vante Bausby, per source.
Bausby was getting 1st-team reps at nickel in spring and early summer, but was passed by Sidney Jones, Avonte Maddox. If Bausby clears waivers, he’ll likely land back on the practice squad.

12:35 – There’s been two reported cuts. The biggest coming from running back Donnel Pumphrey, a fourth-round pick last year.
Thank you philly for everything 🙏🏽
