Eagles Schedule: Donna Kelce was Wrong and Why Can’t We Get Some 1 p.m. Games?

Lots of fake news being passed around on the internet. Donna Kelce said Eagles/Chiefs was gonna be week two, which it is not. Then Ernest Owens said Taylor Swift was gonna show up at the Sixers game, which she did not.

Here’s the real Eagles schedule, official from the league:

Couple of thoughts here:

  • What’s with the dearth of 1 p.m. games? Only three of them? 1 p.m. games are perfect.
  • That’s a good bye week, almost splits the season in half.
  • Hate those two Giants games being so close together. SPREAD IT OUT.
  • Happy that the Chiefs game is not in week two, as originally rumored…. however –
  • at Chiefs, vs. Bills, vs. Niners, at Cowboys, at Seahawks? Yeesh. That is rough.
  • Start of the schedule is easy. There’s no reason why this team can’t start 4-0 or 5-0.
  • The Jonathan Gannon game won’t have a ton of juice because the Cardinals will be eliminated from the playoffs already.

It’s not a horrible schedule. The times are wonky, but the Birds are a primetime team, yeah? They get three MNF games and one on Thursday, but at least the Thursday (and short rest) will be out of the way early. It’s not ideal to get the Bills on Sunday after the Chiefs on Monday, but they have the bye week prior and that will help “bigly.” It’s really that gauntlet to start the second half of the season that will make or break this team.

Can’t wait. Go Birds.
