Play the fight song! TTTTTT for Temple UUUUUUUUUU, UUUUUUUUUniversity!
The Eagles are signing OL Matt Hennessy, a league source tells @Bo_Wulf and me. They agreed to terms on a one-year deal.
Hennessy, 26, started 22 games for the Falcons since entering the league as a third-round pick in 2020 out of Temple. Adds depth on the interior.

Single digit Tuff!
Hennessy is a 6’3 O-Lineman who was supposed to start in 2023 for Atlanta before a knee injury sidelined him. Last time he played a game, Marcus Mariota and Olamide Zaccheaus were on the Falcons. Good depth piece though. He’s made 22 starts at left guard and Center in the NFL. He also knows what it’s like to play in the Linc and how to win in the Linc since he was part of the last winning season Temple football had, all the way back in 2019. Can’t say that for a lot of guys recently.
He’s also got lineman swag:
Best shoe game at this year’s @seniorbowl goes to an OL, not a WR or DB. @Temple_FB center Matt Hennessey’s old-school Jordans. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/XuETA93RFJ
