Not sure if you remember Eagles YouTuber EDP445, real name Bryant Moreland, but he found his way into the news this week with the release of a documentary called The Sick Mind of EDP445, directed by a guy named Mike Clum.

This is the IMDB blurb:

“The tragic story of EDP445, a former YouTuber, that couldn’t control his lust for young teenagers. In 2021, he got caught in a predator sting operation, that ended his carrier (sic). This movie follows EDP’s day to day life, after losing it all.”

The documentary currently has has 3.3 million views on YouTube. I haven’t watched the whole thing yet, but EDP uses two gay slurs within 90 seconds and talks about being attracted to children. He was accused a few years back of trying to meet up with a 13-year-old girl, and, if I have the story straight, the reason he hasn’t been arrested is because he’s been targeted by civilian predator catchers and vigilantes, and not law enforcement. Basically sloppy, amateur work with dubious intentions, like content creation. Therefore, it appears the police don’t have anything prosecutable to work with. They’d have to do their own independent investigation and do it the right way, with subpoenas and phone records and whatnot. I’ll keep watching this whole thing to hash out the proper story, but that’s the gist.*

But one thing we can clear up is that EDP is not a real Eagles fan and never has been.

In parts of the doc, he’s wearing Birds gear, and talks about becoming a Birds fan in 1997 because he loved “the logo on the helmet, and how pissed off the logo looked.” That corroborates what he said back in 2012, when Philly Mag posted an interview that was done by a writer named Mike Bertha. EDP confirmed that he was a California resident who had never even traveled to Philadelphia:

So, is this your first time coming to Philly?
First time to Philadelphia. Never been out the state of California.

Really? So, it’ll be your first time on a plane?
It’s gonna be my first time, and I’m scared shitless.

You don’t have anything to worry about. It’s easy. Nothing to worry about.
Yeah.

So, your logo says 1997-to infinity, which indicates that you became an Eagles fan in a real depressing era in the franchise’s history. How did you manage to become an Eagles fan back then?
Me and my dad was watchin’, I know it was the Bengals, and they won 44-42 and I was watching Irving Fryar, Bobby Hoying, all them cats play. For some reason, I don’t know, I was watching it and my passion just grew for the team. From that day on, I just grew to be a big fan, you know?

The 1997 Eagles were a Ray Rhodes team that finished with six wins, nine losses, and a tie. They had Ricky Watters, Irving Fryar, and some defensive pieces who would carry through to the Andy Reid era, but not much else. It’s highly dubious to think that some guy in California developed a “passion” for the Eagles by watching the 1997 team.

Anyway, EDP was featured a bunch on this site back in the day. I guess his rants were so ridiculous that they made for good content, so Kyle and Jim would post his stuff for laughs. Obviously nobody knew he was a real piece of shit. Here’s a crazy guy yelling at the camera and being outrageous and all of that. But let it be known that EDP is a fraud. He’s not a real Eagles fan and never has been. He’s not one of us. We have nothing to do with EDP.

*EDIT: I made it about 30 minutes in. EDP admits to Chris Hansen (Dateline NBC/To Catch a Predator) that he tried to meet up with an underage girl and “I guess you could say, try to have sex, I don’t know.”
