Finally, We Will Stop Hearing About the Eagles’ Quarterback Controversy
By Kyle Scott
Published:
Finally, this manufactured drama is over with. Vick had the job from the moment he threw that touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson in the first preseason game, and probably before that. Nick Foles had a shot, but it was Vick’s job to lose, and he didn’t lose it.
It’s the right decision, too. If there’s one coach who might be able to put Vick’s talent to use (winning), it’s probably the zany Chip Kelly. That doesn’t mean it will work, though. Because Vick has never worked for extended periods of time before. But it’s worth the shot. The Eagles aren’t Super Bowl contenders and they have one season to see if a video game quarterback will work with Kelly.
So, now, move along. Nothing to see here. Just someone be sure to tell Matt Barkley.
