Fred Johnson Telling a Washington Player to “Shut the Fuck Up” Was a Great Way to End a Historic Hot Mic Week in Philly Sports
lol
This was near the end of the Commanders game, after the brawl in which Tyler Steen fought six guys at the same time. Fred Johnson was part of the initial shenanigans that sparked the brouhaha, and I am 99% sure it’s him in this clip telling someone on the other side to “shut the fuck up.” That’s his voice, and the other two linemen in the picture are second stringers who had just come into the game. It’s a little hard to discern since Greg Olsen is speaking as color commentator, but he says “shut the fuck up… I’ll beat yo ass.”
It’s similar to what he said here (NSFW) –
What a week in Philly sports. We had the Tim Saunders “blow me” comment that went so viral that national television picked it up. We also had Alex Lyon and a ref yelling at each other after Rodrigo Abols was shoved into the Sabres’ net. Then we had Fred Johnson threatening to pancake the entire Commanders’ secondary on the same night the Eagles won the NFC East for a second straight season. It’s awesome baby!
