Soon after sending that tweet out, McCoy deleted the tweet and backed off.
Either the former Sooner let some information slip out early about his former college teammate, or he was just flat out wrong.
UPDATE: Les Bowen is reporting that Gerald McCoy was wrong and the Eagles are not close to signing Lofton.
