Great Idea: Stephen A. Smith Thinks the Commies and Ravens Should Share a Stadium

Love this take from Stephen A:
Washington fans absolutely hate this opinion, which means it’s a good one. Why not just share with the Ravens? What have the Commanders done to deserve a new stadium anyway? They’ve had six winning seasons since Y2K! They don’t deserve a new home on the old RFK grounds. D.C. United and the Washington Nationals have done more winning in the same amount of time. They deserved their new stadiums. The Commies should be forced to stay in Landover until they string together three winning seasons or fix the barricades that fall over and nearly crush Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks of other teams, like Jalen Hurts.
Now, for a geography lesson:
Northwest Stadium is 31.7 miles from M&T Bank Stadium. That’s 40 minutes up 295. With the Raiders leaving the San Francisco bay area, you’ve got only LA and New York as multi-team markets, and the Rams, Chargers, Jets, and Giants are sharing SoFi and MetLife, respectively. The distance between the old Candlestick Park and Oakland-Alameda Coliseum is actually less than Washington/Baltimore, but you had to cross the bridge to get there, which made the drive longer.
So basically Commanders-to-Ravens is the shortest current distance between NFL stadiums. Feels like a waste. They should consolidate. The Commanders should join forces with the superior Ravens franchise and both of those organizations can do the smart and responsible thing. They should share. The DMV doesn’t need two NFL stadiums. There’s not enough unique culture down there anyway. You can’t say you’re going to drain the swamp and then allow the Washington football team back in. It makes no sense.
