You can buy or sell pretty much anything on Facebook Marketplace,* for instance, this piece of the Ritz-Carlton awning that collapsed during 2018 Super Bowl celebrations in Philadelphia:
This is hilarious. Had you ever wondered what happened to the Ritz-Carlton awning after it collapsed? Yeah, me neither. You would think the hotel staff would gather it up and discard it, maybe scrap the metal bars up in Port Richmond using those guys who push the shopping carts around, but it looks as though a portion of it survived.

Authentic Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia banner is made of black fabric with a white screen-printed lion logo and text. This rectangular piece has raw, unfinished edges and features the iconic hotel branding. Salvaged from the street in 2018 during the superbowl victory party in city hall. Own a part of philly history!
There’s not a whole lot to the backstory. It was right around midnight on February 5th, 2018, and a bunch of people climbed on top of this thing to celebrate the Birds’ first Super Bowl. Then it gave out while a lady in the background goes “ohhhhh shit!” –
This was one of the more ridiculous Super Bowl videos because there were earlier clips of people jumping off the thing entirely. One guy did a stage dive into the crowd, and another guy did a back flip ON TOP of the thing and stuck the landing. Then that guy himself did a trust fall off the awning. No vandalism, just a celebratory parkour of sorts. At some point later, however, people just kept climbing on top of the thing and obviously it collapsed, so the video was later used by others to rip us for unruly behavior.
Anyway, the seller is a guy named Terry and Facebook says he is “very responsive.” I don’t know how you’d ever verify the authenticity of something like this, but I believe Terry. One doesn’t just fabricate a salvaged Ritz-Carlton awning. Looks legit to me, imo, and in the pictures it appears to be folded to fit the space on the wall, which is why the lion design is slightly cut off.
*no, joke, I once sold a tree house on Facebook Marketplace. This guy came over with his 5 kids, dismantled the thing piece-by-piece, and then hauled it off. He lived on a Quakertown farm and said he was going to re-assemble the house for his ducks.
