Uhhhhh:

We had the minor Reddick dispute in training camp where he suggested that he was underpaid. Fact check: true. He’s among the elite edge rushers in the NFL if you look at his production over the last several years. And keep in mind he played a few games this year with a club hand and was also asked to drop into coverage during a season in which the defensive coordinator was demoted and a new guy assumed play calling. Despite all of that, he still finished top-15 with 11.5 sacks while logging 13 tackles for loss and 23 QB hits.

Reddick is a premium player at a premium position where the Eagles otherwise have Josh Sweat, sophomore Nolan Smith, and free agent Brandon Graham. He was a menace for the Birds in Jonathan Gannon’s 2nd year, which will look similar schematically to what Vic Fangio does in 2024. Reddick is 29 years old and not exactly washed, so losing him would be a disappointment, but in Howie we trust… maybe.
