Amazing:

I know what you’re thinking. Should the Eagles do it? They cannot. This is why they traded him in the first place. He wants a new deal and wants top edge rusher money.

So what went wrong in New York? There are reports that the Jets never agreed to give Reddick a new contract before the season, but that both sides were on the same page. Then he became a training camp holdout and hasn’t shown up at all.

What’s annoying is that there’s condition on Reddick’s 2024 performance that could net the Eagles a 2nd round pick instead of a third. Obviously if he does not play for the Jets then he cannot meet that condition. We can laugh at this, but it’s better for Haason to stay in the AFC and play well to improve the Birds’ draft positioning in 2025. What will the Jets do? Cut their losses? Find a team to take him and get back their third rounder? They have the leverage now.
