Hassan Ridgeway is Done for the Year

We’ve become numb to it at this point.
Defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway is done for the season, said Doug P at Friday’s press conference:
“Hassan Ridgeway actually has a biceps injury that he’s going to miss the rest of the season for us. It’s unfortunate with him. It’s a significant injury. It’s something that I’m obviously disappointed in that because he was a big part of the tackle rotation. He’s going to miss obviously and we’re going to miss him.”
Shout out to John McMullen for asking the question, because we wouldn’t have known otherwise. Doug doesn’t do injury updates like Andy Reid used to, something like this:
<clears throat> “Yeah, uh, injuries, we’ve got Todd Pinkson with a hangnail. And then Reno Mahe joins N.D. Kalu on injured reserve with blah blah blah”
Something along those lines.
But on a serious note, Ridgeway was an important portion of the DT rotation, even moreso with Malik Jackson out Thursday night. Ridgeway played 137 snaps and had a sack, a QB hit, and two tackles for loss. T.Y. McGill will get his snaps unless the Birds sign somebody else, or stack get by with stacking their defensive ends on the interior.
