EaglesGab.com posted this story about the Eagles' feeling on Michael Vick's potential.
Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Morningweg says backup QB Michael Vick has regained all his pre-prison skills and that’s the reason the team didn’t trade him in the offseason. “I think he’s back,” Mornhinweg told The Daily Press of Newport, Va., on Thursday. “In our minicamps, you could see that great, great athleticism. I would expect great things from Michael Vick this year.” Considering that the Eagles are paying Vick $5.2 million this season, owner Jeffrey Lurie surely will be incensed if Mornhinweg is wrong. Last season, Vick was 6-of-13 passing for 86 yards and one touchdown and ran the ball 24 times for 95 yards and two scores.
What exactly are "pre-prison" skills? The ability to read the blitz, scramble, and slam dogs into the pavement then electrocute and drown them?
Well then, sign me up. [sarcasm, for you PETA folks]
There's that, and then there's Vick's odd banking habits prior to declaring bankruptcy. His bankruptcy trustee asserts that Vick paid friends and family off instead of paying creditors money he owed them prior to declaring. That's illegal.
And this experiment was a good idea, why?
