Here’s The Exact Moment Carson Wentz Broke His Rib
By Kyle Scott

“Carson felt some discomfort and soreness as we began this morning’s practice,” head coach Doug Pederson said in a statement on Saturday. “We decided to limit him throughout the remainder of practice and, as a precaution, sent him for a CT scan after practice. The scan revealed a hairline fracture in his ribs. We do not know an exact timetable for his return, but we hope to have him back before the end of the preseason.”
This should come as no surprise judging by Wentz’s reaction to the hit. He spent quite a bit of time grimmacing and making tough guy faces, and, impressively, he hung in there. You can’t really blame anyone – other than the entire offensive line and perhaps Chase Daniel for not doing his job as stunt double and saving Wentz – but this was as clean of a shot as it comes on a quarterback and Wentz is lucky the injury isn’t worse. At the time, Scott Graham or Mike Mayock remarked that Wentz was lucky to get his legs in the air so as to not injure his knees. So there’s a positive spin on this turd salad with dressing on the side.
The preseason is now wholly not worth watching. But at least Wentz should still by able to play by Week 6, when the crowd will have successfully shouted Bradford and Daniel off the field.
