We as Philadelphia sports fans seem to have this obsession with assigning blame to one specific entity.

Is it Doug Pederson’s fault? Howie Roseman’s fault? Carson Wentz’s fault?

News flash: all three of these guys have done a terrible job this year. They all share the blame for turning a Super Bowl champion into a 3-8-1 team that couldn’t win football’s worst division. The real question is what combination of those guys can be successful moving forward. Can Wentz and Doug work with a better GM? Can you somehow move Wentz and his contract to the Colts? What if you keep Carson and Howie, but fire Doug?

Here’s a report from Ian Rapoport:

Rap sheet:

“Meanwhile, Pederson himself is on the hot seat. Despite winning a Super Bowl three years ago, I know that some of the captains and team leaders had a couple of meetings last week to try to take accountability. It did not work out on the field, there’s a lot of frustration inside the building from coaches, players, owner Jeffrey Lurie. A lot of eyeballs now going on a crucial stretch for Philadelphia.”

Is Doug on the outs? Somebody has to go, I think we’re all in agreeance on that.
