In Which Michael Vick’s Fiancée Calls Me a Hater

When I wrote this post this morning, I wasn't hating on anyonE, I was simply trying to inform you, the reader, that Michael Vick’s “$100 million contract” is a bit misleading. A) He’s not guaranteed to earn that much and B) a large portion of it is owed to creditors, lawyers, accountants, and, apparently, Bailey Building and Loan. Truth, if you will.

Shortly after I Tweeted a link to the Post, reader John cc’d Michael Vick’s fiancée, Kijafa. You may remember her from her planking Tweet:

Kijafa didn’t appReciate today’s post, which actually understated Vick’s outstanding financial obligations (further explained here). Her response to John and myself:

KF: Life was great b4 this contract & will b afterwards! Even after the creditors are paid U TALK IT But I LIVE IT!

Her next Tweet:

If I was (((((YOU))))) I would hate me too!!!!

 

I wasn't talking about her… but now I’m going to. My response:

Me: congrats, you hooked up with an athlete. maybe a modicum of humility would serve you well- all I'm saying.

KF: who said I wasnt? that what you assume …you know my Name not my story let me take you to my side of Broad St

Me: well, "planking on 100 mil" didn't reek of humility. But hey, what do I know? I only earn 5 figures.

KF: Iast time i checked i could say what I please and it was addressed to the haters do you fit the description??

 

I stopped responding. Maybe I do fit that description, maybe I don’t. I just wasn’t sure the fiancée of an ex-con and someone who is $20 million in debt should be boasting about a $100 million, most of which will never be seen because large Portions of that money are already owed to others (like this guy).

Anyway, Kijafa, I made you an anagram. Did you spot it? It's somethin' that he needs to have.
