Inspired by Freddie Mercury, A.J. Brown Picks His New Celebration, With Help From Eagles Fans

AJ Brown is using the “ayeeeeeeee yoooooooo” soundbite from Freddie Mercury’s famous performance at Live Aid 1985 for his celebration this season and it’s going to be awesome on opening night. The “ayeeeeeeeee yoooooo” stands for “AO” or “Always Open” and the hype video will make you want to storm Dave Dombrowski’s office at CBP and force him to make a move:
Brown floated a celebration to Eagles fans earlier this summer, and this is what they came up with. Love a group effort. Fire this out of the speakers and make it synonymous with the gameday experience like the Eagles chant after touchdowns and the “Victory” instrumental when the Birds defense needs a big third down stop.
Now we gotta decide when the Eagles play it. Should it be after a catch? He only had 67 of those last year so it’s not like it’d be overkill, but what if one of them goes for a five-yard loss? That’d be awkward when no one is repeating it back. After a touchdown doesn’t make sense because the PA has to make their announcement and then the Eagles go right into the fight song. I think the Birds should play it only after A.J.’s first downs. Fire up the crowd some more after Jalen Hurts and Brown connect on 3rd & 8 for a 15 yard slant over the middle.
