It Was Never a Doubt That Bradley Cooper is a Football Guy

Bradley Cooper had his priorities straight while heading into a Vogue Magazine event with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid. Thank the technocrats for inventing devices that allow us to watch football from anywhere now:
There’s not much worse than having plans while your favorite football team is playing. You think Coop kept the game rolling during the event? He had to, right? It’s the Super Bowl rematch. You can see in the one photo the shot of DeVonta Smith injured, so we’re talking still 11 minutes in the third quarter at this point. It was 10-10! There’s still so much that didn’t happen yet. The Andrew Mukuba pick, Andy Reid mismanaging another clock situation, and Tush Pushes that will have football fans losing their minds on both ends of the coin for over 96 hours now. Imagine missing that so you can talk to some suits about fashion trends and god knows what. Give this guy a table in the back, the occasional hors d’oeuvre, and leave him alone to watch the Birds.
I’m getting married in a couple weeks and thank god the Phillies aren’t scheduled that night. Not that I’d care if any guest had their phone out on the dinner table to watch during the ceremony. I’ve done it at friends’ weddings and it’s only right people would return the favor at mine if the Phils were in the playoffs. If you have a wedding in October you need to understand what you signed up for when there’s a juggernaut baseball team in your city. I had a party for a baptism during Week 1 of the NFL season. Sure, the Eagles played on Thursday that week, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to enjoy more football. I have to scout the teams! The Eagles need me! Thank god this family were the proper Catholics who were raised right and had the YouTube multi-view going when everyone arrived. I maneuvered every conversation that day so that I could be in the sight line of a TV. It was like a general moving his troops strategically around the battlefield. “How’s wedding planning going? It’s going great.” (Aaron Rodgers 22 yard touchdown pass to Ben Skowronek out of the corner of my eye). Sue me.
