“It’s Not on One F****** Guy” – Council Rock Alum Defends North Penn Alum After Eagles Win

After North Penn alumnus Matt Ammendola shanked a game-tying field goal on Sunday, reporters naturally flocked to his locker, which resulted in Council Rock’s Justin Pugh coming over to defend him:
“it’s not on one f*cking guy.”

Well, Pugh is certainly right. The Cardinals’ offense only mustered a couple of scores on the afternoon, playing on their home field. Kyler Murray missed a couple of big throws and then slid short of the sticks on 2nd down, spiked it on third, and forced Ammendola to come out and kick early, when the field goal attempt should have been shorter.
These situations kinda stink. Nobody in the media is actually looking forward to talking to the kicker who missed the big field goal, but fans want to hear from him at the same time, so you walk over to the guy’s locker and do the depressing scrum. But the takeaway here is that Pugh seems like the kind of teammate you want. I could see Jason Kelce doing something like this.
