It’s Tuesday Morning and Still No Word on a Jalen Carter Suspension or Fine (UPDATE)

It doesn’t sound like Jalen Carter will be suspended, according to Mark Maske from The Washington Post:
Florio echoed the same sentiment, but did publish an article Tuesday morning that a Carter suspension is “still on the table.” Who knows? I think the fact that he was ejected so early in the game should count as Carter’s one-game suspension. Tack on a hefty fine and make him play for free on Sunday. That’s as far as it should go. These people that are saying the Eagles should take it into their own hands and suspend Carter are lunatics. Are we forgetting Dak spit first? Which he admitted postgame and sounded pretty guilty. Sure, there’s no place in the game for spitting, but come on, this is football. We’ve got people shouting from all corners of the Internet that they basically want Carter locked up. If they saw what went on underneath a pile everyone would be suspended. Plus, a great D-Tackle has had an edge to them. Let the baby rhino be the baby rhino. Just hope that he can dial it in a little before the Eagles back up Brinks truck for him next offseason.
Nick Sirianni mentioned in his press conference that all discipline you’ll see will be handled internally, which could include a conversation or Sunday against the Chiefs:
If the Eagles feel like they need to make a statement, sit Carter for a series and then unleash this freak on Patrick Mahomes. I really think the Eagles could win by 10+ on Sunday. The Chiefs have zero offensive guys, Travis Kelce is a shell of himself, the line stinks, and Chris Jones was shut down by a guy making his first start at left tackle, albeit a top-5 pick. Will there be some revenge on the Chiefs mind from the Super Bowl? Absolutely. But the Eagles seem like they’re still a bunch of dogs focused on building more and not looking in the past. The Chiefs looked like the ones with the Super Bowl hangover in Week 1. Plus, the Eagles beat a better Chiefs team in 2023 at Arrowhead with a worse defense.
UPDATE: No suspension for Jalen Carter and he’ll be playing Sunday for free as the fine is a game check:
