Jalen Mills Gets a Four-Year Deal with the Patriots

Four years for Mills? $9 million in guaranteed money? Good for him.
For a 7th round draft pick, he’s gonna end up with a Super Bowl ring and at least $14 million earned, plus whatever else he earns in this contract, whenever he decides to hang ’em up. Mills played for the Eagles this past season on a one-year deal with $2 million guaranteed in a signing bonus.
He converted to safety in 2020, and then had to play some spot corner due to injuries piling up. I know Eagles fans weren’t particular high on Mills, who got cooked plenty of times in outside coverage, but he was a good red zone defender and versatile piece who started on the Super Bowl-winning team and did the job that season.
