Birds news:

Normally this would mean nothing, since Saturday’s game means nothing, but Jason Kelce is currently riding a starting streak of 121 straight games. It is the longest active streak among NFL centers and third-longest in the entire league, behind only Ndamukong Suh and Atlanta tackle Jake Matthews.

Kelce isn’t anywhere closing to breaking the all-time record, which belongs to Brett Favre. He started 297 straight games, which is insane to think. How does a quarterback do that?

But Kelce does have a chance to set the Eagles franchise record, which is held by Jon Runyan, who started 144 straight games. Herm Edwards and Jerry Sisemore are #2 and #3 on the list, with 135 and 127 games respectively. That’s according to Reuben frank at NBC Sports Philadelphia, who pulled the numbers Friday.

What the Eagles need to do is start Kelce, let him play a few snaps, then yank him after the first drive. Streak remains alive, he leaves the game healthy.
