Jerry Jones Has Given Up on the Cowboys Season

Jerry Jones was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and dropped a quote that will make you hope he lives forever:
That’s great. You have owners like Colts CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon rocking a headset on the sideline and 100% involved and they’re 7-1. Then you have Jerry Jones, who is more interested in the price of a barrel of oil than he is fixing the defense that HE decimated.
And you know what? I don’t blame him. He’s looking at a $100 billion investment! The Cowboys are worth 10% of his natural gas empire.
Imagine you were into baseball cards. Would you take more care of your Honus Wagner T206 card or a Bryce Harper rookie? He’s always been a landman! It’s in his blood! It’s how he came into our lives in the first place. The Cowboys are his shiny toy he can do whatever he wants with. While he’s flying over the oil wells of East Texas looking over his empire, he’s not thinking of a defensive end that fits well in Matt Eberflus’ Tampa 2. Ding it up backing up out of the garage? Pay someone to buff it out. That’s what trading Micah Parsons was, basically. He’s ruined the Cowboys’ defense and he’ll overpay someone next offseason to try and fix it.
Look at the Lions’ recent extensions. I’m pretty sure Jerry Jones thinks this is illegal:
I wonder how long Cowboys fans hold on until there’s a revolt or at least a protest. The offense looks great and the defense is like Shady McCoy once said – “ASS ASS.” Then you have to listen to your owner say there’s nothing they can do about it. The Raiders told Jerry that Maxx Crosby was off the table and he ran out of ideas:
Long live Jerruh! Hope he finds that glory hole one day he so longingly desires:
