On the Wentz decision, Irsay said: “It’s just, for us, it was just it was something that we had to move away from as a franchise — it was very obvious.”
As for Matt Ryan: “Extremely grateful to the football Gods, so to speak, (regarding) where we were compared to where we are.”

Man, Irsay hates Wentz more than Bob Wankel and Joe Giglio combined. It’s crazy. It’s like he slept with his wife.
The running theory on Twitter is that it’s an anti-vax thing. No clue though, that’s just Twitter. We know Carson is kind of a weird dude, but he’s not a bad dude, so it’s fascinating to see the Colts’ brass turn on him faster than Eagles fans did. Maybe we’ll get a better deep dive on the Indy/Wentz thing one of these days. Maybe we put Joe Santoliquito on a plane to Indiana to get the full story.
Meantime, Wentz is back in the NFC East, so he’s a division rival. Booooooooooooooooo! Boooooo Carson Wentz! You stink!
