Jordan Mailata Plays Guitar, Delivers Pancakes, and Now Sings on National Television

Jordan Mailata has gotta be the most talented 6’8″ dude on the planet. Not only does he pancake opposing defenders and play the guitar, but now he’s singing on network television:
#ThingamabobMask's performance was… PERFECT. 🤩 #TheMaskedSinger https://t.co/MFIFlcciIh

Couple of thoughts:
1) His voice is really damn good. He’s gotta record something at some point in his career.
2) I love how the judges act all excited when the reveal comes, like “oh yeah, I know who that guy is!” –
lol
To be fair, most normal Americans/non football fans would have no clue who Mailata is. Hell, most football fans probably wouldn’t recognize most offensive tackles. Could you pick Trent Williams out of a lineup?
But something about that particular clip made me laugh. There is a less than 0% chance that Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Robin Thicke knew who Mailata was. Speaking of which, I had to Google the hosts because I didn’t even recognize Thicke with that hair cut and get-up.
I have to admit, however, that I thought The Masked Singer was the dumbest thing ever when the first previews came out a few years ago. “This has gotta be the stupidest shit ever,” I thought to myself. But it seems like people like the show and it’s actually pretty cool because they get these people on that you had no clue could actually sing. The costumes are goofy as hell but the reveal is pretty sick.
Jordan Mailata – best draft pick ever? Extend Howie Roseman!
