Kevin Patullo isn’t Going to Have Much of a Pass Game to Coordinate in Miami
Big NFL trade:
First things first, if Jaylen Waddle is worth a first, a third, and a fourth round pick swap, then A.J. Brown is worth a first round pick, PLUS MORE. Denver and Buffalo set the market with the Waddle and D.J. Moore trades and the Eagles should leverage the Patriots and squeeze everything they possibly can out of those bums.
Second, the Dolphins have now shipped out Tua and his second-best receiver. Tyreek Hill is a free agent. If the season began today, they’d be rolling out Malik Willis and Quinn Ewers to throw the ball to Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington, and Greg Dulcich. Or check downs and swing passes to De’Von Achane. They’ll draft a receiver or two but it’s gonna look quite different down there.
So there’s not a lot for pass game coordinator Kevin Patullo to coordinate. Maybe that’s a good thing because the Dolphins are turning this thing over and expectations are very low. They’ve got a new head coach and will have a new QB and a ton of new players and they are only expected to win two things this year – jack and shit. If you’re Patullo, you just went from high expectations and people throwing eggs at your house in Philadelphia to low expectations and relative obscurity in sunny south Florida.
