Kiko Alonso Goes Odell Beckham in the End Zone for the Interception

Rookie WR Odell Beckham Jr. astonished everyone with his one-handed reaching catch at the goal line against Dallas last year.

Kiko Alonso, in his first regular season game for the Eagles, showed that defensive players can do that stuff too. The Falcons had momentum, a three-point lead and the ball inside the 10 yard line. Schemed into covering Roddy White one-on-one in the middle of the end zone, Kiko high-pointed perfectly and grabbed it with his left hand, pulling it onto his chest to save at least 3 points.

If you wonder why Chip Kelly thought Mychal Kendricks has less than ideal height, this is exactly why. Kiko needed every inch of his 6’4″ frame and his 32 1/8″ arms to make the grab.

Welcome to the team, Kiko. I think we’re gonna like you here.
