Lane Johnson Tests Positive for COVID-19, Jordan Mailata and Nate Gerry Also Added to Reserve List

2020 is the gift that keeps on giving!
Lane Johnson was added to the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list and offered this statement on his Twitter account:
At NJ.com, Mike Kaye wrote the following:
Johnson visited the Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital last week to handed out Rita’s Italian Ice to healthcare workers. Johnson signed autographs and took pictures with the workers from the Rita’s truck.
“All of these people are working their tails off, day in and day out,” Johnson told NJ Advance Media. “These people are the real heroes … These people are fighting the pandemic every day, and coming out, the least we could do is give them some Rita’s and put a lot of smiles on people’s faces today.”
Could be something to that, though Kaye says that Johnson was wearing a mask and following protocol.
The Eagles note that the reserve/COVID-19 list was created not just for players who test positive, but those who have been in close contact with an infected person. No other tidbits right now with Mailata or Gerry, other than this confirmation:
