UPDATE: LeSean McCoy Has a Hamstring
By Kyle Scott
Published:
A potentially injured one.
A source tells ESPN’s Josina Anderson that McCoy returned to Buffalo last night to have his left hammy evaluated. She was told it “didn’t look good on the field” but that McCoy was feeling better by late last night.
Not saying I was rooting for McCoy to get hurt, but a bothersome hammy strain seems like a nice karma backwash for our late August amusement.* And keep in mind: everyone is making a big deal about DeMarco Murray’s workload last season, but it’s McCoy, 27, the age at which running backs decline, who’s carried more over the course of his career.
*Of course, Kiko Alonso is concussed.
UPDATE: Mike Florio is reporting that McCoy is expected to be ready by Week 1.
