Former Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel is expected to become the Chargers offensive coordinator barring a change of heart, per @JeffDarlington and me. Thought he would have been a good fit here assuming that there was no weirdness with Vic Fangio. Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Jalen Hurts – imagine the creative and effective rushing attack he could have put together with that group.

At least we’ll finally get to see if Justin Herbert is worth a damn playing for a new coordinator. There’s some young talent out there in Kimani Vidal, Omarion Hampton, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Oronde Gadsden, who are all younger than age 25. Maybe that was the intrigue? It feels like there were better gigs available.

Anyway, on to the next guy.
