Per Rapsheet:

This blows, because the Eagles finally put Jalen Hurts under center and let Sanders run the ball like a normal back. He logged six carries for 30 yards in Vegas, then an unblocked DB came in to blow up a screen pass, Sanders tried to cut, and injured his ankle.

The Eagles now have Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott, and Jordan Howard to go with on Sunday. Detroit features a bottom-half rushing defense that allows 120 yards per game 4.1 yards per rush. Those conditions aren’t uber-favorable to pound the ball, but whatever. Give Jordan Howard the rock. GROUND AND POUND. Three yards and a cloud of dust. Control the clock.

Roll that Blount baby!
