Moroccan Fans Lit So Many Flares at the Linc that it Forced a Cooling Break

Let’s get it back to the Club World Cup. Juventus kicked the snot out of Moroccan team Wydad AC on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, but fans of the losing side had a great time regardless:
They had to stop play in the 26th minute to allow the smoke to clear. We haven’t seen a smoking this bad since the Eagles trounced the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game. Heyo!
On a separate note, there are four more CWC games at the Linc. Esperance plays Chelsea on Tuesday, then the get-in price for Real Madrid vs. Salzburg on Thursday night is about $200. Next week, there’s a round of 16 game between the winner of Group A and the runner up of Group B, which might give us Palmeiras or Miami vs. Paris St-Germain. It depends on what happens this week, but Lionel Messi vs. PSG at Lincoln Financial Field would sell out. Palmeiras vs. PSG would be sick as well, or an all-Brazilian RO16 would be cool. The last game at the Linc is a quarterfinal between the winner of the round of 16 game, and then the winner of group C vs. the runner up of group D, which is likely Bayern Munich and Chelsea. That’s a good crop of teams to work with.
Here are some more cool pics from Caean Couto and Lee Smith from IMAGN Images. I’m particularly fond of the massive black smoke cloud with the ACME logo above it:
