Nakobe Dean Reportedly Out “Multiple Weeks” (updated)

Dean update:
#Eagles LB Nakobe Dean is expected to miss multiple weeks with a foot injury suffered yesterday in their win over the #Patriots, sources say. It was relatively decent news considering, as no surgery is required — he should be back with plenty of time this season.

Oof. Not great! They needed Christian Elliss to come in for Dean late in the game, so it finished with Zach Cunningham getting 70 snaps (88%), Dean getting 49 (61%), and Elliss with 34 (42%). The Birds do list Haason Reddick and Nolan Smith as LBs, but they’re hybrid EDGE guys of course, so the Birds really only rolled three linebackers on Sunday while playing mostly nickel.
The Birds do have Ben VanSumeren and Kyron Johnson on the practice squad. Next man up! Maybe call Myles Jack and see what he’s up to (only half joking).
EDIT 1 – here’s an update:
#Eagles are signing LB Rashaan Evans to their practice squad, an NFL source confirms @AdamSchefter. Evans is a former first round draft pick and has 67 career starts.
Started all 17 for the Falcons last season.
