NFL Reportedly Investigating Big Dom Because Emmanuel Acho Had to Go Flapping His Gums
Gunner tweeted this out Wednesday:
“What even is this?” you may ask. I had the same question. Apparently Acho made these “comments” over the summer, reacting to the Kyle Shanahan car accident story when he mentioned that he himself had been in an accident while playing for an NFL team.
Mike Florio, who loves a conspiracy theory more than anyone, summarized at Pro Football Talk:
Acho spent time with the Browns, Eagles, and Giants.
Acho explained that, one day after practice, his car rear-ended another car.
…
“I [contacted] one of our security people,” Acho said. “He says, ‘Acho, when the cop shows up, send the cop away. I’m going to send you another cop. And that other cop is going to say it wasn’t your fault. It was their fault.’ I was like, ‘Wait, they do that?’”
….
“Our head of security had to offer them (the people in the other car) two home tickets plus signed jerseys,” Acho said, “and then were like, ‘Oh, no, we’re fine.’”
Nobody should be surprised by this, IF TRUE. Every professional sports team has a fixer of sorts. Doesn’t make it right, but everybody pulls strings and calls in favors and tries to make bad things go away.
I guess what Acho said was enough to get the NFL involved, according to Gunner.
Therefore, the moral of the story is that Acho should keep his big, dumb mouth shut. This is like James Franklin flapping his gums about Saquon Barkley’s free agency, and getting the Eagles in some hot water.
Acho should listen to the woman who is getting divorced in that early Wedding Crashers scene.
“You shut your mouth when you’re talking to me.”
