Nick Sirianni Remorseful for Saying “You’re a Pussy” After Hard Hit on Jalen Hurts

CHICAGO — Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni expressed “remorse” over his reaction to the sideline hit by Chicago Bears linebacker D’Marco Jackson on Jalen Hurts that temporarily knocked his quarterback out of the game midway through the second quarter Monday night.
Cameras showed Sirianni appearing to shout expletives toward Jackson after the play.
“Obviously, you want to always fight for your players, and protect your players. I always come away when I have a moment like that with remorse of, ‘Man, I shouldn’t have let my emotions get the best of me,'” Sirianni said after the Eagles’ 27-7 loss.

Honestly, who really cares? Who would be offended by this? Pearl clutchers? Little soy boys? Nick’s a competitor and the players are competitors. When your quarterback gets walloped on the sidelines it’s going to garner an emotional reaction. DeVonta Smith went and got up in someone’s face. Nick started cussing at people from across the field. It’s a volatile game played by grown men and coached by grown men. And this is how grown men talk to one another, whether we’re actually mad or just busting our friends’ chops. Dan Hawkins once told us that if we don’t have the stomach for it, we should “go play intramurals brother.” And he’s right!
This is a nothing burger. Sirianni has nothing to be remorseful about. The only people offended by this have virgin ears and eat Mister Softee ice cream.
