Hey Arnold:

He played for Temple, actually. Four seasons in which most of his snaps took place during Rod Carey’s tenure. He logged 42 tackles, four sacks and 8.5 tackles in six games during the Owls’ COVID season, then transferred to Penn State, where he had 9.5 sacks and 17.5 TFL on the 7-6 team that lost to Arkansas in the Outback Bowl.

Ebiketie was a 2nd round pick in 2022 and played four seasons as a depth EDGE for Atlanta, finishing with 129 tackles, 16.5 sacks, and 17 TFL in 67 games. He started 12 of those. Looking at the snap counts, he was at 34% in 2025, 48.7% in 2024, 33.7% in 2023, and 45.9% as a rookie.

It’s a classic one-year Howie Roseman deal where they hope to pull out this guy’s full potential. Ebiketie played most of his college career in Philadelphia so hopefully a change of scenery is helpful. Howie has hit on guys like Zack Baun doing this, so he may as well keep trying. If it doesn’t work, the guy walks. Low risk, potentially high reward. Same situation with Mekhi Becton and now Riq Woolen. Hell, Patrick Robinson and LeGarrette Blount might be two of the best one-year deals Howie has ever handed out. They weren’t necessarily prove it deals, but they nailed ’em.

It’ll also be interesting to hear WIP callers try to pronounce “Ebiketie.”
